Air France-KLM reports net loss in 3rd quarter

Air France-KLM reported Wednesday a net loss of euro295 million ($406 million)in the fiscal third quarter as a record drop in passenger traffic last year offset the airline’s efforts to trim costs and cut capacity.

It was the Paris-based carrier’s fifth straight quarter loss, as the air travel industry continues to struggle from the global economic downturn.
