Boeing Finalizes $56 Bil 777X Order With Emirates
Boeing inked a deal with Emirates Wednesday for 150 of its 777X planes as the Middle Eastern carrier expands its wide-body fleet. Emirates is buying 115 Boeing (BA) 777-9Xs and 35 777-8Xs, worth $56 billion at list prices, though airlines typically get discounts on large orders. The deal finalizes a commitment announced at the Dubai Airshow last year. The deal also includes an option for 50 more planes, which would boost the deal to $75 billion.
