CIGNA Simplifies Paying Medical Bills for Millions of Customers

CIGNA (NYSE:CI – News) is announcing today that it is rolling out Intuit Inc. (Nasdaq: INTU – News) Quicken Health Expense TrackerSM online bill payment for its medical and pharmacy plan customers – at no additional charge.

“A major area of confusion for many health plan customers is understanding what they are responsible for paying out of their own pocket and why,” said Tom Richards, senior vice president and product leader for CIGNA. “Quicken Health Expense Tracker makes it easy for individuals to understand and pay their medical expenses online.”

HumanaOne, the individual health division of Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM – News), has introduced a new individual vision insurance plan on With the launch of this new product, HumanaOne is also expanding its affordable vision insurance plans to a number of states it had not previously served.

“We’re excited to be expanding to new areas of the country at a time when more and more people are in the market for individual health products, including vision plans,” said Steven DeRaleau, chief operating officer of HumanaOne. “These are affordable plans for the self-employed or for people who may not have vision coverage through their employer group plan.”
