Have we seen the last of Kurt Warner?
Cardinals QB Kurt Warner said he does not know if Saturday’s loss in New Orleans will be the last game he ever plays in the NFL. Kurt Warner has six kids and does is very involved with spending wants to spend more time with his family.
Warner, 38, is contemplating retirement. He said he doesn’t know when he’ll make a decision, but expects it won’t take too long:
“I want to get away. I’ve thought about it a lot, and have over the last couple of years. I have some ideas in my head. But you want to get away from the season a bit.
“I don’t think it will be a long process, a long, drawn-out thing. I would want to let (the Cardinals) know as soon as I know, for sure.”
Warner was briefly knocked out of Saturday’s loss with a chest injury when he was knocked down after throwing an interception.
He still had pain when he breathed after the game, but Warner said that hit will not be a major factor in whether he returns. —
