Vikings’ Harvin doesn’t practice and Stays Home

Vikings rookie receiver/kick returner Percy Harvin missed practice Friday, two days before the NFC Championship game against the New Orleans Saints.

Coach Brad Childress said after practice that “it’s hard for me to even handicap” whether Harvin can play Sunday.

“They all vary in intensity and time period,” Childress said.

Defensive linemen Kevin Williams and Ray Edwards returned after missing two practices with knee injuries.

Harvin spent Friday at home, Childress said. The Vikings will release their final injury report Friday afternoon.

“So we’ll just have to see how he comes along,” Childress said. “It’s less than ideal, but he’s played under the same circumstances this year.”
