Frank Caliendo Reads LeBron James’ “Coming Home” Letter in Morgan Freeman’s Voice: Watch and You’re Welcome
Is it the weekend yet? Because we’re not sure how much more work we can accomplish after watching this video.
And surely LeBron James is wondering, “Why didn’t I think of that?!”
Comedian Frank Caliendo stopped by ESPN Radio’s Mike & Mike show this morning, where he proceeded to read LeBron’s insta-classic essay published by Sports Illustrated that announced his intent to return his talents to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Oh, but he didn’t just read it.

He read it while impersonating Morgan Freeman in solemn yet inspirational Shawshank Redemption mode.
“Before anyone ever cared where I would play basketball,” Caliendo-as-Freeman began, “I was a kid from northeast Ohio. It’s where I walked. It’s where I ran. It’s where I cried.”
Neither Mike nor Mike lasted for more than a second before bursting into giggles, which they tried to stifle as best they could.
At first the visual vs. sound is jarring, but faster than LeBron can drive past two defenders and dunk, Caliendo has mastered the Morgan Freeman. Watch and laugh.
