First of Ten Ferrari F60 America Convertibles Delivered in Palm Beach, Florida

Remember the Ferrari F60 America? You’d be forgiven if you don’t. The super-exclusive Roadster was unveiled in fall of 2014, but not much has been said about it since. Now, a year and a quarter later, Ferrari announced that the first F60 America has reached customer hands.

Here’s a refresher course on the most exclusive production Ferrari ever made. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Prancing Horse in the U.S., Ferrari ripped the roof off the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta supercar. This isn’t the first time a modern V-12 Ferrari coupe went under the knife, as the dearly departed Ferrari 550, 575, and 599 received the same special-edition treatment to create special-edition versions. Unlike the F60 America, which uses the same 6.3-liter V-12 as the normal fixed-roof F12, the 2011 Ferrari 599 SA Aperta packed chassis and powertrain upgrades lifted from the wild 599 GTO. In the F60 America, the engine packs 731 hp, rocketing the droptop to 60 mph in just three seconds flat.

On top of open-air motoring, the F60 receives a host of visual modifications on the front and the rear fascias, as well as a special historical blue paint color. Down the center of the car runs a red-on-white stripe, contrasting handsomely with a black-and-red interior.

Want one? Sorry, you’re a year too late, as Ferrari is only making ten F60 Americas. Even if you were waiting with a deposit check in hand at the debut last year in Beverly Hills, they were already sold out then — at $ 2.5 million a pop.
