Yes, that is a functioning V8 engine made entirely from paper. And strictly speaking, it’s not origami. The fascinating art of paper folding doesn’t look kindly on using tape, which this little eight cylinder uses lots of. There are also obvious dashes where the cutlines were. But honestly, who the hell cares? This is a paper engine, but the pistons still bop up and down when you spin the crankshaft. It’s absolutely remarkable and (we imagine) utterly infuriating to put together.
