Would You Pay $1 Million for a Stretched Ford Excursion Monster Truck?
The Barenaked Ladies had many plans for spending a million dollars, but not once did their 1992 radio hit mention buying a stretched Ford Excursion monster truck. Arizona-based Big Toyz Racing (BTR) is putting just such a creation, called the Sin City Hustler, up for sale for $ 1 million.
BTR’s Hustler started life as a Ford Excursion, but then it was stretched, lifted, and put on a custom-built monster truck tube chassis. Its tires are 66 inches tall and 44 inches wide, its Ford big-block V-8 cranks out 700 hp, and a hydraulic system automatically opens the rear door and lowers a special access ladder. Best of all? You can bring 12 friends along, as in addition to the center-mounted bucket seat for the driver, the Sin City Hustler packs a dozen seats for fearless passengers.
To make sure the passengers thoroughly enjoy their ride in the Sin City Hustler, BTR lowered the Excursion’s floor by 18 inches to provide enough headroom to stand up inside. Aside from an aluminum diamond-plate floor, the rest of the inside is surrounded in clear Lexan, giving riders an up-close look at how the giant truck’s suspension and four-wheel steering tackle rough terrain during the thrill ride.
“Whether you choose to take it to the dunes, impress your friends, market your company, or use it as a lucrative business, this truck will make a statement wherever you go,” BTR co-owner Jennifer Campbell said in a statement.
