Jeffry Fuqua has landed a new board role more than a year after leaving as chairman of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. Fuqua, president of Orlando-based highway contractor and land developer Amick Construction Co., was named board chairman for Daytona Beach-based Consolidated-Tomoka Land Co. (AMEX: CTO). Fuqua, an incumbent named to a three-year term, was newly elected to the chairman role by shareholders at an April 27 annual meeting, and replaces William Voges in that role. Consolidated-Tomoka Land, which focuses on converting company-owned agricultural land into a portfolio of net lease income properties through 1031 tax-deferred exchanges, on April 20 reported first-quarter revenue of nearly $4 million, a nearly 8 percent increase from the year-earlier period(TM)s $3.7 million.
