Now that Floyd Mayweather has dispatched arguably his toughest opponent, Shane Mosley, with relative ease to raise his record to 41-0, the boxing world wants to know if Manny Pacquiao is in his future.

Mayweather survived a shaky second round to shut out Mosley over the last 10 rounds and win a unanimous decision Saturday night before a star-studded crowd of 15,117 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

He said Pacquiao could be his next opponent if the Filipino superstar agrees to the same Olympics-style drug testing Mayweather and Mosley did for their contest.

"If Manny Pacquiao wants to fight, it's not hard to find me," Mayweather said. "We were going to make the fight a couple of months back, but it didn't happen."

The proposed bout fell through when Pacquiao would not agree to blood testing within 24 days of the fight.

"If Manny takes the (blood) test, we can make the fight happen," Mayweather said. "If he doesn't, we don't."

Later at his postfight news conference, Mayweather reiterated his position.

"I want to give the fans a pleasing fight," he said. "If they want to see me fight Pacquiao, I want to give them that.

"But we want an even playing field in the sport of boxing. Too many fighters are dying. Too many families are getting hurt in the sport of boxing. I'm doing it the old-fashioned way. I'm the best. I don't have to take no enhancement drugs, I don't have to take nothing."

Oscar De La Hoya, whose Golden Boy Promotions handles Mayweather, said the ball is in Pacquiao's court.

"Mayweather is the one to dictate, the one who says when, where, who," De La Hoya said. "Mayweather is the king of the world now, and we all know after watching (HBO's) 24/7 that all fighters can be clean. But if they're not going to agree to it, how can we make fights?"

But don't expect a decision to be made anytime soon, he said.

"There's going to be 20 guys in line wanting to fight him," De La Hoya said. "There's no decision-making now whatsoever. Floyd is Floyd, and he calls his shots."

Praise for Mayweather, who was guaranteed $22.5 million but was expected to make much more than that when pay-per-view revenue is counted, flowed from all corners Saturday night.

De La Hoya, who lost to both of Saturday's combatants (twice to Mosley) during his Hall of Fame career, noted Mayweather's ability to survive a knee-buckling barrage in Round 2.

"He showed me true greatness," De La Hoya said, "because I felt he was going to go down.

"It just showed you that Mayweather is the real deal. I am a true believer that he's the best we have now."

Mosley (46-6, 39 KOs), 38, who was guaranteed $7 million, said he thought he was close to stopping Mayweather in the second round.

"I tip my hat to him," he said.

"He is a true champion. Now you will see him and Manny, if Manny takes the blood test."

Mosley's trainer, Naazim Richardson, said nothing surprised him during the match.

"A lot of people say (Mayweather) got hurt and were surprised he weathered the storm," Richardson said. "I wasn't. I anticipated that. He's a special athlete. That's what special guys do."

Roger Mayweather, who trains his nephew, said Mosley's speed was rendered irrelevant.

"Mosley has very fast hands, but he doesn't have a jab," the trainer said. "He had tremendous hand speed, but it means nothing if you can't hit the target. He's fast if he fights someone slow, but it's different if it's somebody faster."
