Above all else, respect others. Address issues and arguments and refrain from making personal attacks. They are both from oregon, theyre both libyan, both american, both over 55, both want to fly home, both are muslim, both are men, i see a pattern here. maybe a conspiracy. unanswered questions. what airline were they flying on, did they eat the free airline peanuts? did they get offered airline peanuts? hmm so many unanswered questions. We don't need terrorists to take our freedom from us, we can depend on our elected officials to take care of that.so you put a name like mustafa on the no fly list. must be 1000 people with the same name. god forbid they put a john smith on the list, could you imagine?I would like to apologize to you, your friend that was left behind and your family. "The rich butter and garlic mixed with the fresh saltwater taste of the oyster is heaven. And before you know it -- the oysters are gone. [Read the full article]

In December, on-time performance was the highest it's been in 17 years. NBC's Brian Williams reports. When it comes to air travel, 2011 wasn’t the best of times, but it wasn’t the worst of times. On Tuesday, the Department of Transportation (DOT) released its latest Air Travel Consumer Report (PDF), which includes airline-performance data for both December and the entire year.Figures for the former showed significant improvement over December 2010 while those for 2011 suggest the industry has leveled out its performance, with fewer drastic improvements or declines in service. Thanks, in part, to this winter’s mild weather, the nation’s 16 largest airlines operated 84.4 percent of their December flights on time, a record for the month in the 17 years during which the DOT has collected such data. In December 2010, carriers arrived on time just 72 percent of the time. [Read the full article]

Lawsuits are the only protection citizens have against their own government. Your position is this guy should just take it? Would you?Funny, if this guy did turn out to be a terrorist and he later committed an act of terror the same sheople on here bashing the FBI will be bashing them for being incompetent and letting a terrorist go. It is real easy to be a critic, but actually doing something is a lot harder. I am guessing most on here have never done anything but criticise other's efforts. Whatever....The fact of the matter is, this guy did not turn out to be a terrorist. We pay the FBI to actually catch terrorists, we don't pay them to persecute random people. Unlike this guy, the FBI aren't volunteers or humanitarians. They get paid to do a job. That is why they are being criticized: for doing a poor job.Would you be this considerate and understanding if the FBI had held you for a month? I don't think so. It's easy to wave away other people's problems. [Read the full article]
Machine Guns Vegas invites visitors to grab the automatic weapon of their choice and get in touch with their inner commando. The legislation faced opposition from some labor unions because it set new rules governing union organizing elections at airlines and railroads. The Senate passed the bill last week, completing action after a struggle that shut down the Federal Aviation Administration for two weeks. The law authorizes $63.4 billion for the FAA over four years, including about $11 billion toward the air traffic system and its modernization. It sets a deadline of June 2015 for the FAA to develop new arrival procedures at the nation's 35 busiest airports."This critical effort to shift from our antiquated air traffic control technology to a GPS-based system will improve air traffic efficiency and safety, reduce fuel burn and pollution from aircraft, and bring costs down for consumers," said Republican Rep. Seven underrated ski resorts and Cruise line: 22 passengers robbed in Mexican seaside resort

(CNN) -- You've heard of Aspen, Jackson Hole and Whistler, but how about Copper Mountain, Grand Targhee and Revelstoke? These ski resorts may lack the buzz of their more glamorous neighbors, but they make up for it in snowfall, value and fewer crowds.Opened in 2007, Revelstoke has remained largely off the radar thanks to its relative inaccessibility in British Columbia's Selkirk Mountain range. It's a five-hour drive from Calgary and two hours from the nearest international airport, but it's unlikely to stay that way for long. With some 60 feet of annual snowfall at the highest elevations, 5,620 feet of vertical -- the longest descent of any resort in North America -- and lift, cat-skiing and heli-skiing from one village base.Sandwiched between Breckenridge and Vail, Copper Mountain has long been a local favorite, but a new high-speed quad-lift and ski-in, ski-out lodging put it on par with its big-name neighbors. (Departures ) -- The Skypark pool atop the Marina Bay Sands hotel in Singapore might be one of the most magnificent pools on earth: It's an infinity-edged oasis 650 feet above ground with a mind-blowing view of the city's skyline. It's part of a massive rooftop entertainment platform perched atop three skyscrapers. While it may vie for the most dramatic, this high-altitude hot spot is now one of many built in major metropolises. These days pools are popping up on top of skyscrapers from New York to Sydney and everywhere in between, often with bars and restaurants that help transform the pool deck into a social scene all its own."In densely populated cities where space is at a such a premium, if you want to build something new and innovative, the only place to go is up," says Thompson Toronto project architect Rob Cadeau, who turned the hotel's rooftop into a gathering place by designing a bar adjacent to the pool area.
